NSW: Man to appear in court over Sydney shooting
SYDNEY, Dec 3 AAP - A 25-year-old man has been charged over the shooting of another
man in Sydney's west.
Police said in a statement this morning that a 25-year-old Penrith man was shot while
sitting in a car outside a Wentworthville house about 6pm (AEDT) yesterday.
He was driven towards Penrith along the Great Western Highway by a friend, who waved
down a passing ambulance near Toongabbie Road at Prospect.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital suffering gunshot wounds to the face and neck and
was in a stable condition.
The 25-year-old alleged offender was arrested by police today and charged with six
offences in relation to the incident.
He was due to appear before Fairfield Local Court later this afternoon, police said.
