Qld: Man charged with home invasion murder due in court
A 37-year-old man charged with murdering a man during a Gold Coast home invasion willappear in court today.
LEE IRELAND, aged 21, was viciously bashed at a home in suburban Monterey Keys on July the 25th.
The truck driver had been watching a game of football on television with friends whentwo baseball-bat wielding men entered the home and allegedly attacked him.
Mr IRELAND was taken to hospital but died four days later due to serious head injuries.
A police spokesman says the man charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murderwould appear in the Southport Magistrates Court some time today.
